Ive tried a lot of apps for writing and notes, but Ulysses has every feature I need, and then some. It is brilliantly designed and easy to use.

Ulysses is powerful, customizable, and elegant. The latest updates search and quick open features round out what is already a staggeringly good user experience. If you write at all, whether its note-taking during meetings or writing longform, Ulysses is an essential tool.

Clean, powerful, and really smart, Ulysses makes it so much easier to write my novel and web material. Scrivener is great, but Ulysses is better. It has everything you need and almost nothing you dont. It never gets in the way.

It flawlessly connects and let you organize and work on your phone, tablet, and Mac. Yes, you have to buy it for iOS devices and for the Mac, but it will likely become your "go to" app for everything related to writing and note taking. It replaced 4 other apps for me, and I use it for everything - professional freelance writing, note taking in classes, even my grocery list! Support is amazing and responsive, this has turned into "the killer app" for me.

Ulysses is one of my favorite apps, period. Its great for long form writing, note taking, etc. I very much prefer it to Scrivener.

A elegantly designed app, and - since search was added in the last update - one of the best note taking apps on iOS. The lack of a keyword index remains a problem though. You have to manually create a separate filter for each keyword (tag). I hope this gets added eventually. (I was told it is a planned feature.)

The Soulmen (developers of Ulysses) have gained our trust. Theyve taken an amazing writing environment and made it better with every update. Tech support is prompt. They listen to customer requests. The most recent update builds off impressive iCloud syncing and Medium publishing and adds even more ways to publish. Line, sentence, or paragraph highlighting has already become an indispensable feature. Thank you, devs. Your work is appreciated.

I have tried so many writing apps. I write thousands of words every day, using my iPad exclusively, and I need a great word-processing app, as well as a great distractionless writing space, and a great note-keeping app. This one is perfect for all three. I use it for long pieces, for notes and snippets of ideas I want to save for later, for comments and posts on social sites and blogs, for journaling, and for saving interesting links that I might reference in my work. It syncs perfectly with my iPhone, so I can work on the go. The ability to download themes is great. I love using the "Private Dancer" theme for writing in public, no one can read over my shoulder. It works reliably and I have never lost any writing to crashes or sync failures. Highly recommended.

Its great app but when the document gets longer, this app gets slower. Especially in the middle of the long document, its almost impossible to edit. Mac version of ulyssese had same problem but recent update resolves it. Please do that in iOS version too.

The app is amazing. I only request that it remembers where I was when moving between sheets. For instance I open one sheet scroll down a ways type something then need to check a note in another sheet. Now I move back to the sheet after checking my notes and I have to figure out where I left off. On iPad Pro I would like the ability to view two sheets side by side. Besides those two requests the app is amazing!
