I really, really love this app. I needed a great app for writing on my iPhone, and now I have it. Seriously wonderful. I love it on Mac too! I still would really like to see an option to search all sheets within a group. Sometimes its hard to find the right sheet quickly when a thought strikes, and a search bar would really help. I also would like to see settings be made accessible from a more global location than just from within a sheet.

This is really a fantastic tool. I write prose, essays, poems and lyrics; this tool has simplified my life. I have it on my MacBook Air, my iPad Pro and my iPhone 6. Everything syncs and I never miss a new thought, no matter where I am all my work is with me. Its dead simple to use no clutter no wasted energy just write! As it should be. Thank you!

This app is great. Ive used the Mac version for several years and this iPad version brings almost all of the power of the Mac version to iPad and iPhone - it is not a watered down version. In addition to the software being so good, they also provide excellent email support. Ive received timely and thoughtful responses to all my inquiries.

This is, hands down, the best markdown editor available for iOS. Everything I publish is written with it and the app just keeps getting better.

Ulysses has long been the best writing program on the Mac. This new version makes it the best writing option anywhere. Sync is seamless, editing and arranging are easy, and export is ever expanding. I use it for notes on phone and later editing and follow up longer form writing on the Mac. Great tool. Worth real money.

This app is somehow both simple and incredibly deep, able to handle everything from notes to a journal to blog posts to novels and academic writing.

Ulysses hits all of the right notes for me. The ideas behind the interface, the simplicity and power are all fantastic. I think a lot of people who first see this app might mistake it for just another Dropbox markdown writer, but for me, its another approach to a Scrivener style app. It doesnt have the long feature list that Scrivener does, but it allows me to do the same kinds of things I would want to in Scrivener but in a way that feels easier. It feels like theres no friction between me and getting my writing done. (No disrespect to Scrivener—its an amazing piece of software.) The concept of sheets, the organization capabilities, the way markup works, the sheet attachments—they all let me do what I need to without getting in the way. Its a very specific idea about how to write and its different from an app like Pages so it might not be for everyone, but I love it. I do pretty much all of my writing in it from tech specs for work, to a novel (68,000 words into my first draft

As a longtime user of the Mac version of this app, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this iOS version running on both my iPad Pro and iPhone. At first glance, the app looks quite simple, but hidden beneath that simplicity is a great deal of functionality that was clearly the result of meticulous design and development. I particularly love the flexibility in using custom fonts and theme styles. With some basic CSS knowledge, I was able to put together a template that looks exactly like my default MS Word template. Highly recommended!

I love this app. I use it for academic writing (papers) which is probably not its intented purpose, and works really well. I would love to have a LaTeX export option, to add my tables and formulas directly on the Ulysses document.

Perhaps the single most well-designed and executed app in the App Store. Certainly the best writing app. And rock solid: Ive never had a crash or lost work with Ulysses on any platform or device. Well worth the price.

Ulysses is a joy to work with. The simple interface and clean Markdown syntax encourages instant writing, but the app hides a deceptive amount of tweaking power under the hood. Its easy to organize work into right-sized chunks, and drag and drop parts as needed. Ulysses organization tools are simple, but Ive found its straightforward approach has worked wonderfully in keeping my often large projects in order. Exporting to all the formats I require is seamless, as is automatic backup, and iCloud syncing, and... If youre a writer that loves to write on the go, or you use your iPad as your main writing platform, I cant recommend Ulysses more highly.

I bought both iOS and Mac versions of the product, intending to use both and work on the texts trough iCloud. For a while it worked fine, but one day I discovered that both versions of ALL of my documents are "unavailable" with some creaptic explanation that some .XML file doesnt exist. Help desk was no help either. First they recommended to reboot computers and when this obviously didnt help they stopped responding to my emails. Beware you can lose you entire work!

Tons of features without being overwhelming and a beautiful interface.

I did not want to spend this much money to write on my iPad. But it really is the best writing app. My one hangup is that I sync everything to Box. And while Ulysses supports importing and editing files from Box its pretty limited. I need to be able to sync an entire folder...with support for renaming and otherwise operating on the file. If I had this my life would be complete. :-)
